Quality Assured

Nothing leaves Barber Precision unless it is of the highest quality, our quality control procedures are second to none and we take great pride in completing work precisely and efficiently.

Custom exhausts

We are experienced in manufacturing custom stainless exhausts using mandrel bends and TIG welding to give the best quality finished product.

Engine swaps

Completed engine swaps include fitting a Holden/Chevrolet LS1 5.7L V8 into a 1990 Nissan S13 Silvia, and a 2.5L Mazda KL V6 (originally offered only in front wheel drive) into a rear wheel drive 1993 Mazda MX-5. We are able to complete an engine swap from idea through to finished product, or just help with a specific part of the swap you’re having trouble with.


Custom supercharger installations are something we have experience with. We can design and fabricate a bracket to fit a supercharger to your engine!


Turbocharger installations are a very effective way of increasing the performance of your vehicle. At Barber Precision we have fitted turbochargers to a range of cars, from a 1974 Toyota Celica to a 1993 Mazda MX-5.

CNC Machine Design

CNC machines are complex and require careful design to ensure rigidity and longevity. Over the last few years we have designed and built several CNC machines for industrial applications, including plasma cutters and routers. We have extensive knowledge of automated machinery design and are able to design machinery from scratch or design modifications to existing machinery.

Precision Machining

Machining to tight tolerances is important in many different areas of engineering. From lathe work to CNC machined complex parts, we are able to ensure accuracy in any machining project we undertake. Nothing leaves Barber Precision unless it is well within specifications.

CAD (Computer Aided Design)

CAD is an essential tool for any complex design. New parametric modelling software allows designs to be quickly optimised and modified in the software before any fabrication or machining takes place. This can decrease development costs significantly over traditional methods.
